Wynyard School of Music

Though newly named in 2008, Wynyard School of Music was first established in 2001 providing lessons in flute, piano, singing, violin and music theory within the Teesside area. Since then the school has evolved taking on new teachers and offering a larger variety of instruments and classes. All teachers that work for the school are fully CRB checked and experienced and trained in both teaching and music.

Wynyard School of Music allows pupils of any age the opportunity to gain performance experience through concerts and recitals. These allow pupils to perform, gain confidence and earn certificates and trophies as reward for their learnt skills as well as make new friends and have fun.

The school puts pupils through graded examinations with various accredited examination boards if they wish to gain qualifications in their instruments. Lessons are taught in individual styles to fit each student’s needs. Feedback is always available at the end of each lesson.

2010 saw the amalgamation of Wynyard School of Music with DramaWorks (www.dramaworksnortheast.com) producing a business that offers workshops, role play performances and specialist performing arts classes such as ballet, group music and singing lessons, drama, glee club, tap and much more.
